In the mid to late 80's Eric W. Nelson approached the owner of MCTV about putting a surf show on her community access channel. She agreed and Eric titled it Powerlines Surfspots. One of the persons Eric taped and put on the show was Curt Myers. Curt also was taping at the time and Eric offered Curt to put together a show of his own. Eric produced 125+ shows while Curt produced around 5+.

Powerlines Surf-Spots showcased local surfers in and around HMB as well as Mexico. Pro surfers were covered at the O'neill Coldwater Classic. In February of 1991 Jeff Clark brought surfers Tom Powers & Dave Schmidt out to Mavericks unveiling it to the world.

Mostly done on free time & trades, the show slowly came to an end in the mid 90's. Between 1994 and 1998 Eric and Curt released their own seperate movies to sell individually.

Eric W. Nelson

On December 11, 1998 Eric and Curt collaborated angles on an epic day at Mavericks and made a video titled 'Twelveleven.' From that point on they agreed to work together as Powerlines Productions and the rest is history.

Chris Wilson

In 2000 at the x-games film fest held in SF Eric & Curt met up w/ Chris Wilson who was a cameraman, producer & graphic artist for the biography of motorcycle maniac Seth Enslow 'Seth the Hard Way' In 2001 Wilson Prods. teamed up w/ Powerlines Prods. to give it the unique look that separates powerlines from the rest.
